What is Nature Day?

Our political leaders are still not doing enough to protect the environment and the climate in Germany and across the globe. Society is increasingly divided over this: many of us don’t feel heard or powerless and don’t know what to do.

We have a way forward: We – society - take matters into our own hands and make a difference - together with all those who are already actively shaping a better future today.

Nature Day is the first day on which we all work together ! We are starting with a first pilot city and then want to expand Nature Day to many cities - until it is a nationwide Nature Day for everyone !

You will soon find out when it starts here or via our newsletter.

On Nature Day we bring everyone together

The sustainability community opens its door for taking part and learning from one another.

Employers promote participation by giving their employees the day off to take part.

Municipalities host and support Nature Day.

Only when we join together can we save the world.

A day of sustainable action for all

On Nature Day, people take time out to participate – and if necessary, get time off from their work, university, school or training provider – to do something good together for nature and our planet. We tackle it through sustainable projects that make a real differene and make us want to do more. We become part of the solution!

Participants can choose from a broad range of activities: from planting trees, collecting rubbish, installing solar panels on balconies, repairing bicycles, upcycling clothes to vegetarian cooking – there is something for everyone.

Together we can achieve so much on this one day. Let us get active together and meet today’s challenges head-on.
